My Philosophy

It is my belief that all children are able to learn if you inspire them to have a positive attitude towards learning.  I try to instill in my students that learning takes place within them and not just through me, giving them a sense of empowerment.  When students try their best and take pride in what they do, they become respectful individuals in our society.  In education, that is an important goal to have and follow. In my classroom, I have the role of a facilitator.  I help my students to learn our state standards by allowing them to lead in their education.   I want my students to be critical thinkers and not rely on me to give them answers when they have trouble solving a problem.  Students in my classroom are encouraged to work together in informal cooperative groups to achieve a goal.
